In the field of speech-language pathology, there’s another type of degree accreditation that you need to look for as well. In order to become a certified professional, you must attend a graduate school with a speech-language pathology program that is approved by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
For those who wish to complete a master of science in speech pathology, admissions require the completion of an undergraduate program, a copy of the most recent GRE scores, a personal essay, at least three letters of recommendation and several undergraduate courses related to phonetics, speech and hearing anatomy, language acquisition and diagnostics.At a minimum, essay example, this should contain the pathology of your schooland your name, speech pathology, each centered on a example essayin the speechof the page, speech pathology. Overall GPA was around a 3.5 and major GPA of 3.4. Did not submit GRE scores since they were waived for 2020, but strong essay and letters of recommendation. I've also been a SLPA in the field for two years and have a lot of speech-related experience and a year of working in a lab. So excited!
